About the Center
The mission of the NorthWest Center for Emerging Technologies is to assist education, business, and government in developing the skilled Information Technology (IT) workforce for the new economy. To fulfill this
mission, the NWCET established the following four primary goals.
Goal 1. Initiate model partnerships linking business, education, and government to advance Information Technology Education.
Goal 2. Design and promote pathways, products, and services that increase student diversity and improve opportunities in Information Technology programs.
Goal 3. Create Information Technology curriculum, courseware and professional development products and services.
Goal 4. Provide national leadership by contributing to the development of public policy and through the dissemination of "Best Practices" in IT education.
