Through the process of viewing a video, searching IT database, interviewing mentors, surfing the Web, producing documentation of their efforts, students should be able to:

 Discuss a variety of IT career choices.
 Develop skills for conducting independent exploration of this topic.
 Plan independent exploration strategies
 Get in touch with and utilize local resources (including the identification of mentors, scholarships, internships, community based financial support).
 Know how to access and use web resources about IT careers (including the identification of mentors, scholarships, internships, community based financial support).
 Articulate the educational choices they will have to make to go into IT careers.
 Articulate in what ways, if any, their impression of IT may have changed after this activity.
