  Advanced Features in the Applications of MS Office 2007 (In-Depth with Infopath and Sharepoint)

  Business Technology, All disciplines
   
  Prerequisites:
  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007. Some familiarity with .NET, XML, Infopath and Sharepoint.
   
  Course Description:
  Expand on a working knowledge of the new 2007 Microsoft Office system and explore the XML-based file format for Microsoft Office Excel 2007, Microsoft Office Word 2007, and Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007. The track will also cover updates and changes for Infopath and Sharepoint.
   
  Objectives:
 
  1. Explore Office System integration with Outlook, Word, Excel and Access.
  2. Explore interoperability between file formats (importing/exporting) non-Microsoft data.
  3. Design form templates in Design mode to work with existing web services.
  4. Convert a Word document into an InfoPath 2007 form template.
  5. Use InfoPath to design form templates and fill out forms.
  6. Build no-code solutions using Data Views, reports, and workflow tracking using Sharepoint Designer 2007.
  7. 3. Building essential Sharepoint solutions (collaboration and document management).
