 Network Administrator
A recent high school graduate works as a Network Administrator at Microsoft.

He says of his job:
"My obsession with the technical aspect of technology - the 'how it works' and, 'how to make it work better, faster and more efficient' began at a very early age in my childhood. Since then, I have invested all my time into mastering the art of understanding technology. As a Network Administrator, I stand at the cutting edge of system administration, and the level of skill required to support and administer computer and network systems is very demanding. A Network Administrator's role is crucial to the success of that business. Computer and network systems need to be fully functional before a problem occurs. When an issue does arise, a Network Administrator must be able to research, analyze and solve the problem in a very timely and professional manner."

He discusses how he prepared for this job:
"My most potent tool for preparation for a Network Administrator position is my ambition and drive to learn and be the best at what I do. Ambition was the primary force behind my willingness to self-educate myself through literature about technology. Ambition drove me to surround myself with the masters of various fields in technology, and to always seek and demand the best. To summarize, it is ambition to learn, self-discipline, and receiving hints and tips from those that have mastered what they do in the field that has contributed to my success in becoming a Network Administrator."
