Step 6: Planning An Online Environment

This is an optional step in the IT Curriculum Design Process. If you plan to deliver your content modules through a course management system, such as BlackBoard or WebCT VISTA, the following process can guide you through the steps to develop a high-quality online environment.

Step Process
  1. Inventory your online delivery resources and options
    1. What course management system platforms are available to you at your school?
    2. Where do you go for training and support in using these resources on your campus?
    3. What permissions do you need to use these resources?

  2. Determine your training needs for delivering an online course.

  3. Develop a flow chart of your proposed online environment.
