NWCET develops and implements a variety of grant projects designed to improve IT education primarily at community colleges. Currently, NWCET is working on the following grants:
 
Strengthening Connections, funded by the National Science Foundation
  • This 2 year grant is for researching exemplary partnerships between industry and community colleges as well as disseminating the results to faculty and administrators in user-friendly formats.
 
IT Skill Standards: A new framework for the 21st Century IT Workforce, funded by the National Science Foundation
  • This 1 year grant will result in an updated skill standards framework for IT professionals working in IT and non-IT industries.

The Center for IT Excellence, funded by the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC)
  • This annually awarded grant has been given to Bellevue College for a second year, and establishes the college as a state-wide leader in IT education.
 
Business Relations Database, funded by the Washington SBCTC  
  • A one year best practice grant to create guidelines for the implementation of a business relations database for community colleges
